ABOUT US
Mande Chicken is a 100% nationally owned family company located at Pupwafin Farm-Nadzab, Wampar Local Level Government in Morobe Province of Papua New Guinea.
We operate a poultry farm that grows broiler chicken and a processing plant that slaughtered chickens and processed into fresh, chilled and frozen chicken meat products. They are packed as whole chicken or cut into pieces and packed in trays of 900grams, 700grams, 500grams and the bulk pack for catering purposes. Mande Chicken commenced commercial operation on 12 April 2020.
We are a community based operator that lived and work within the communities by providing support in engagement of out-grower contract farmers, promoting food security, social responsibilities, resource sustainability and use of eco-friendly technology.
We ensure our products meets the high quality/safety standards by implementation of Food Safety Management Systems (HACCP) and in compliance with regulatory requirements locally including other market access conditions.

Award Winning for Poultry Sector – 2021 PNG SME Award
We were awarded the winner of Fast Moving Consumer Goods under the Poultry sector by the PNG SME Award 2021. Our award was sponsored by Cahaya Agro of Indonesia who is the manufacturer of food processing machineries.
Goodman Fielder International – Broiler Chicken Feed Trial
We are also working in partnership with Goodman Fielder Internation on their new broiler chicken feed program as part of their feed improvement program. Results obtained looks satifactory where 2.0Kg live chcken weight was obtained within 28 days ( 4 weeks). This gives the farmer better returns within 28 days rather than waiting for 42 days (6 weeks).
Social Obligation
As part of our social obligation we get involved in community support services to improve the livelihood of people living within the vicinity of the Mande Chicken project area.
• We have erected a 1 km PNG Power service line and have allowed the community to connect electricity to their homes. Now we can see lights at night. Families were able to use electricity to engage in small economic activities to generate income for the families.
• Construction of a bridge over the creek making road accessible for transport services to door steps of families living within the community. There are 26 contract outgrower farmers supplying live broiler chicken to Niugini Table Birds
